Arduino Smart Tech
Physics + Computer Science
What is Arduino and how is it relevant for a school student?
A lot of children are interested in electronics from a very early age and love to tinker with batteries, leds, motors, any items they can get their hands on. While parents like to nurture their child's curiosity, it is natural to be worried about damage to expensive circuitry or computer parts.
App Making is a practical way to learn coding - students make an exciting range of apps that they can even publish in the Google Play store. In this course, students will start with learning what’s inside a mobile phone and the different kinds of mobile apps and their uses. They will learn to build fully functional apps for Android smartphones starting from simple ones that play sound/image or doodling app or convert text to voice. They will use a phone’s GPS or sensors to make apps that work with location. Some apps will be made using web data, parsing it and displaying it as smart graphs and charts.
We teach App Making using MIT App Inventor, an intuitive, visual, block-based programming tool that is used by over 6.8 million registered users from 195 Countries using MIT App Inventor. Over 24 million apps have been built using this platform.
COURSE DURATION: 16 sessions of 1 hour each. Total 3 levels of 16 sessions each.

Why do we recommend Python to our students?
Learn Robotics virtually without a kit
This course introduces students to the fascinating world of Robotics. Starting with the basics of gears, motors and sensors, students will construct and program their very first robot. They will make robots that can move on different surfaces, follow a line or wall, avoid obstacles, pick and place objects, sort things, sense their environment and give feedback to user.
The Robotics course involves practical application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects. Children will develop 21st century skills like problem solving, logical thinking, analytical ability, communication and team work.
