This course is suitable for students between the age group 12-18 years. No prior experience required. Upon successful completion of the course students shall receive a Certificate. Students must carry a laptop & Android Smartphone for this course.

The course is of 15 sessions. Each session is of 2 hours. MakersLoft provides flexibility of learning experience, so students can learn at their own pace. You can do classes once a week during school days to upto 5 times a week during holidays and vacations. Classes are available on week days as well as on weekends.

What's Next?

This course will help students to learn what’s inside a mobile phone and the different kinds of mobile apps and their uses.  It will enhance their logical thinking and creativity. Students who are interested in developing their programming skills further are recommended to enroll for the Programming courses, like Python, C++, etc.

In this course, students will learn what’s inside a mobile phone and the different kinds of mobile apps and their uses. They will make their own apps starting from simple ones that play sound/image or doodling app or convert text to voice. They will learn how to use the phone’s GPS or sensors to make apps that work with location. Some apps will be made using web data, parsing it and displaying it as smart graphs and charts. Students will need to make a project using their imagination – an app that helps people. At the end of each module there shall be an evaluation. Students who pass the evaluation will get a certificate and be eligible for the next module. 

MIT App Inventor’s blocks-based tool facilitates the creation of complex, high-impact apps in significantly less time than traditional programming environments. The MIT App Inventor project seeks to democratize software development by empowering all people, especially young people, to move from technology consumption to technology creation.
