STEM Programs for 4-6 years

MakersLoft offers Creative Building, Early Simple Machines and Coding Courses for 4-6 year olds to develop their creativity, logical thinking, reasoning, problem solving, communication, vocabulary, story telling, abstract and critical thinking skills.

Our programs develop confidence, improve concentration and ability to focus in the child. They learn vital digital skills and become fluent with appropriate technology.

Children are the most creative people on Earth. However, as they grow, there is a systematic decline in creativity. Our courses develop creative mind-set in children, that they will carry through the years.

Early Simple Machines (5-6 years)

The program helps young children deepen their understanding of scientific concepts through hands-on and investigative activities. When we give children the tools and tasks to advance scientific inquiry, they act as young scientists. Using our solutions, encourage children to ask "what if?" questions. They make predictions, test the model's behaviour, and then record and present their results. Using building guides, children build models that incorporate concepts related to key areas of study.

Example projects

Car with crane  •  Dump Truck  •  Fire Truck    •   Guitar   • Excavator   •  Juicer   •  Fishing Rod  •  Measuring Car   •  Ice Hockey Player  •  Concrete Mixer  •  Cable Car   •  Swing

Coding with Scratch Jr

Developing Digital Literacy & Logical Thinking Skills

Why kids need to learn coding?

In this age of technology, Coding is a skill that is becoming as important as reading and writing.  Learning to code develops in children the ability to solve problems, think analytically and logically. Coding uses the same part of the brain as Maths - logical thinking. So a child who is good in maths, will be be good in  coding and vice-versa.

In this course, kids will learn computing concepts, such as sequences, iteration, conditionals, variables and data structures. They will develop problem-solving and project-design skills, such as reasoning logically, debugging problems, developing ideas from initial conception to completed project, and sustaining focus. All in a fun way, by making presentations, stories, games and animated movies. Their projects will be saved online, so they can share with anyone.

COURSE DURATION: 16 sessions of 1 hour each. Total 3 levels of 16 sessions each.

You might have purchased a bunch of building blocks sets for your child, and they probably already spend hours building with it. While the instructions that come with building blocks sets are good to build specific model, they don't teach how to build with one's own ideas.

In this course, we teach children a broad range of building blocks skills and techniques, using which they can build from their own imagination. We teach them about different building blocks parts, about colours, design, geometry, symmetry, patterns, story telling, presentation and in giving shape to their ideas. They will pick up vocabulary and knowledge related to animals, plants, birds, different people in communities, various modes of transport, buildings, cities, bridges and more.

Creative Building

Developing creativity and confidence

Trishna Pereira, Mother of Shanaya, 6 years

Thank you MakersLoft for introducing Shanaya to the World of Coding! She looks forward to her classes. I can also see a BIG improvement in her reasoning and problem solving abilities.

Anu Malhotra, Mother of Parth Arora, 5 years

I always wanted to enrol my son in building blocks classes, however with no such classes in Patna it seemed to be impossible. Then I came across MakersLoft and booked a demo session. The demo was delivered so well, I HAD TO enrol him!! Thereafter the experience has been enriching. Parth has thoroughly enjoyed each session and looks forward to the next one. His favourite Poly Ma’am is absolutely brilliant and each session is superbly planned and delivered. The patience with which she deals with her students is commendable.  To my surprise Parth not only just builds replica of models, he uses the techniques to build so many other things. There’s no limit to what he can create. These sessions have helped him explore various possibilities. This has been by far the best online class I had the pleasure of booking. Thank you Makersloft for offering such quality programs
