This courses is suitable for students between the age group 12-18 years. No prior experience required. This is a certificate course with 2 modules. Upon successful completion of the course students shall receive a Certificate. Students must carry a laptop for programming.

Each module is of 15 sessions. Each session is of 2 hours. MakersLoft provides flexibility of learning experience, so students can learn at their own pace. You can do classes once a week during school days to upto 5 times a week during holidays and vacations. Classes are available on week days as well as on weekends.

What's Next?

This course will help students with developing their 21st-century skills, like problem solving, collaboration and communication.  Solving robotic challenges builds innovation and creativity.  Students who are interested in developing their programming skills further are recommended to enroll for the Arduino or Programming courses. 

This course introduces students to the fascinating world of Robotics. Starting with the basics of gears, motors and sensors, students will construct and program their very first robot. They will make robots that can move on different surfaces, follow a line or wall, avoid obstacles, pick and place objects, sort things, sense their environment and give feedback to user. 

The Robotics course is conducted using international LEGO Education kits and curriculum. It involves practical application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) subjects. At the same time children will develop 21st century skills like problem solving, logical thinking, analytical ability, communication and team work.

The course starts with Robotics Fundamentals for 5 sessions. At the end of this we will be able to assess the students strength and development areas in Robotics. Based on which we would recommend one of the following tracks for the student to start off with, so they can build on what they are naturally good at:

  • Design Engineering: For students who are creative and are inherent problem solvers. Ideally these students are good both with mechanical aspect of robotics as well as programming.
  • Robo Modelling: For students who are naturally good with robot construction and mechanical aspects of robotics.
  • Robo Science: For students who are curious and love to experiment and find answers.
  • Robo Coding Senior: For students who are good with logic and have a knack for robotic programming.

Each track is of 30 sessions, divided into 2 modules of 15 sessionseach. Each session lasts 2 hours. After each module the student has a choice to switch to another track or continue in the same. At the end of each module there shall be an evaluation and a Certificate shall be provided upon successful completion.

Every year our students participate and win at international Robotics competitions like World Robot Olympiad and First Lego League.
