MakersLoft Creativity Toolkit

Lego based Workshops to develop Creativity & Design skills in individuals of any age

Creativity is something that we can carry with ourselves throughout our lives. It is not just for artists, designers and writers. It is needed in Arts as well as Science and Commerce based fields. Creativity is the most sought-after quality in CEOs and leaders. It can help us succeed not only professionally, but also in personal relationships, handling uncertain life situations and solving all kinds of problems.

The basic premise at which we work at MakersLoft is that all children are born creative. In dealing with hundreds of children of ages 2-15 years, we have come to believe that kids are the most creative people on Earth. Unfortunately, there is a systematic decline in creativity as children grow older. This is due to - our rote learning system, the "one right answer" mind-set promoted under traditional education, over-emphasis on marks, packed schedules of kids, with hardly any time for free play or just free time.

How to keep the innate creativity alive in kids, how to enhance it? This is what we aspire to do at MakersLoft.
We have found that kids heads are filled with great ideas, but their hands-on skills to give shape to those ideas don't match up. Therefore they struggle to express themselves properly. The MakersLoft Creativity Toolkit, series of Lego-based workshops, is designed to provide children the framework to think creatively and the tools & techniques to give shape to their ideas.

Participants will practice fundamental concepts of design used in every field where aesthetics matter - Colour, Shape, Texture, Space, Form, Unity,  Harmony

Note, creativity can be developed not just in children, but in adults as well. It requires proper training and practice. Design skills are also applicable for adults working in any field. Our workshops are therefore open for people of all ages to benefit.
