MECHANICS & CODING

Hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering &

Maths (STEM) Education

Children will develop 21st century skills like problem solving, logical thinking, analytical ability, communication and team work.

Early Simple Machines Course

This course teaches children about machines and mechanisms which is the 'grammar' of robotics. They will understand how machines work in real life whether it is in their playground, school or home. Students will create a broad range of models like measuring car, crane, catapult, fire-truck, fishing rod etc.

Science concepts covered: Animals & Birds, Plants, Vehicles, Pulley, Gears, Inclined Plane, Wheels & Axles, Structures, Machines at home & work, Light and Sound, Motion

Maths concepts covered: Subtraction, Addition, Simple Multiplication, Introduction to Division, Data Handling, Measurement, Numbers, Patterns, Place Value, Shapes, Time

CODING for ages 4-7 years. 100% screen-free.

Why teach coding to young children?

Coding promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills in children. It builds their logical skills. Coding uses the same part of the brain as Math. Children who are logical will be good at Maths and Coding and vice-versa.

Topics covered

Move the robot, detect objects, avoiding obstacles, Perform conditional tasks - If / then / else loops, Following lines, Picking and dropping objects

Coding with Scratch Jr

Coding is a basic literacy in the digital age, and it is important for kids to understand and be able to work with and understand the technology around them. Coding helps children with communication, creativity, math, writing, and confidence.  We teaching coding using Scratch Junior a popular software developed by MIT, Boston, USA. Millions of kids all over the world learn coding with Scratch.

With Scratch Jr, young children (ages 5-7) can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.

Eligibility

Suitable for ages 5-6 years, the courses are divided into 3 modules each of 4 months each - Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced so you can track your child's progress.

Upon successful completion of the course students shall receive a Certificate.
